“These are important positions, which allow people to give back at the grass roots level in the communities where they live,” said Chief Electoral Officer Michael Quinn. “Elections New Brunswick strongly encourages residents in these communities to consider running for these positions.”

Nominations close at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 4, and candidates have until Monday, Oct. 7, to withdraw their names. Nomination papers may be picked up from a municipal returning officer or at local municipal offices, or they can be printed from the Elections New Brunswick website.

Elections New Brunswick is accepting the names and resumes of individuals interested in working during the elections. Those may be dropped off or faxed to the appropriate municipal returning officers or by going on-line.
