FREDERICTON (GNB) – Voters go to the polls on Monday, May 4, to fill council vacancies in Campobello Island (Ward 2), Fredericton (Ward 12), Miramichi, Port Elgin and Shediac.

In addition, voters in six local service districts around the Village of Petit Rocher will vote in a plebiscite on whether they are in favour of merging with the village.

Polls will be open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Those whose names are on the voters’ list should have received a Voter Information card in the mail that shows the location of their poll. The card is not required to be able to vote, but bringing it speeds up the process. Voters who are not on the voters’ list may be added when they go to vote.
