FREDERICTON (GNB) – Electors who wish to cast ballots for the May 9 municipal, district education council and regional health authority elections prior to election day or advance polling can do so starting this week by using a special ballot to make their vote count.

“Special ballots offer greater flexibility to voters who might not otherwise be able to cast their vote during the scheduled voting times,” said Michael Quinn, municipal electoral officer. “These ballots are useful for voters who may live in one area of the province but travel elsewhere to work.”

Special ballots are available at the 23 municipal returning offices located around the province. Applications for a special ballot are available online or by contacting your local returning office.
