FREDERICTON (GNB) – Members of the media who wish to photograph or videotape mayoralty candidates voting on election day, Monday, May 9, are reminded that they must obtain the appropriate permission from the local returning officer to enter the polling station.
The M 02 151/152 form must be completed in advance for each polling station that media wish to enter, and it must be signed by the returning officer for that region. Media representatives wanting to enter a polling station will be asked for their proof of identification and affiliation with the media organization they represent.
No interviews may be conducted in the room where voting is being held. Once the candidate has cast his or her ballot, the media are requested to leave the polling station.
