FREDERICTON (GNB) – The following statement was released today by chief electoral officer Kim Poffenroth:
Elections New Brunswick confirms that applications for recounts in the electoral districts of Saint John Harbour and Memramcook-Tantramar were filed with the Court of Queen’s Bench in Saint John and in Moncton.
The recount for Saint John Harbour has been scheduled for 10:30 a.m. today at the Saint John Law Courts. The recount for Memramcook-Tantramar was scheduled for the Moncton Law Courts at 9 a.m. today.
Elections New Brunswick has delivered all ballots cast in those elections, along with all other relevant documents identified in the summons.
As these matters are currently before the courts, Elections New Brunswick will have no further comment.
