FREDERICTON (GNB) — Voters in Miramichi Bay-Neguac and Southwest Miramichi-Bay du Vin go to the polls Monday to elect new members of the legislative assembly for their respective ridings.

Polls are open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. People also have the option to vote at the local returning office for their electoral district.

“We encourage electors to bring their voter information cards with them when they come to vote, so that we can provide them with faster service,” said Chief Electoral Officer Kim Poffenroth.

The Progressive Conservative Party, the Liberal Party, the Green Party and the People’s Alliance each have candidates running in both ridings. There is also an independent candidate in the riding of Miramichi Bay-Neguac.

Information on the locations of polling stations is available on the Elections New Brunswick website or by calling 1-888-858-VOTE (8683).

Results will be posted on the Elections New Brunswick website after polls have closed.
