Elections New Brunswick is seeking to modernize the three pieces of legislation that set out our mandate, with a goal of enhancing and modernizing voting procedures for all New Brunswickers. The proposed changes will also align the rules related to political financing to better reflect the requirements of having fixed-date elections.

Our discussion paper, “Modernizing New Brunswick’s Electoral Legislation”, sets out in detail a wide range of topics and recommendations to update the legislation. We invite all interested individuals, including those stakeholders with direct ties to the electoral processes we administer, to review the recommendations and offer feedback.
