FREDERICTON (GNB) – Advance polls will be open this Saturday, Oct. 19, for municipal byelections in Bertrand, Blackville, Fredericton, Kedgwick, Perth-Andover, Rivière-Verte, Sainte-Marie-Saint-Raphaël, and Saint-François-de-Madawaska.

Voters in the local service district of Kings East and Cocagne may also vote in advance polls on Saturday in a plebiscite on whether they wish to form rural communities.

Advance polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Any eligible elector may vote at the advance polls. Electors should have received a voter information card in the mail that shows the location of their advance and ordinary polls.

Electors who do not receive a card can check their polling station location on the Elections NB website or call the returning office:

●    Baker-Brook (seats filled by acclamation);
●    Bertrand at 1-888-361-0333;
●    Blackville at 1-877-830-5605;
●    Fredericton at 1-888-651-9790;
●    Kedgwick at 1-866-994-5055;
●    Perth-Andover at 1-877-866-8482;
●    Rivière-Verte at 1-877-886-8480;
●    Sainte-Marie-Saint-Raphaël at 1-888-361-0333; and
●    Saint-François-de-Madawaska at 1-877-886-8480.

In addition, electors may vote by special ballot at any returning office until Oct. 28 during regular office hours. House-bound or hospitalized voters unable to attend the advance or ordinary polls may request that a special ballot be brought to them by contacting the returning office for their municipality.
