Everyone who is on the voters list is mailed a Voter Information Card before the election telling them the address of their polling stations as well as the dates and times of advance and Election Day voting.

How to confirm you are on the voters list
If you voted in previous elections in New Brunswick you should already be on the voters list.
You can call Elections NB at 1-888-858-VOTE (8683) to confirm.
How to update your information
To correct or update your personal information, you can make the change next time you go to vote or:
- call Elections NB 1-888-858-VOTE (8683)
- during an election contact any returning office
- visit any Service New Brunswick location
Get added to the voters list
You must be eligible to vote and provide one or more pieces of ID that show your:
- Name
- Current address
- Signature
Your New Brunswick driver’s licence contains all three.

During an election
Eligible voters can visit a returning office up to 4 days prior to an election with their completed application and supporting ID to ensure they appear on the list used at the polling station.
Voters can also bring their ID to their assigned polling station (based on address) and vote immediately, or they can be personally vouched for by another voter on the same list.
Removal from the voters list
An elector will be removed from the voters list when Elections NB receives notification:
- of an elector's death from the Vital Statistics
- that an elector has moved and obtained a new driver’s licence in another province.
If you want your name taken off the list after voting, you must request this in writing to Elections NB.
Who can access the list
Only election officials or candidates are allowed to see the list.
Candidates may obtain Lists of Electors during an election to be used for election purposes only. Between elections, Members of the Legislative Assembly and registered political parties get a copy of the list annually.
