Elections New Brunswick

In accordance with the Elections Act, the Chief Electoral Officer maintains registries of political parties, district associations, independent candidates, leadership and nomination contestants, official representatives, chief agents, and official agents which set out the information required to be filed with him under sections 133, 134, 136, 136.1, 136.2, 137, 138, 144 and 146 of the Act.

In accordance with subsection 84.9(1) of the Political Process Financing Act, the Supervisor of Political Financing maintains a registry of registered third parties. Only those third parties who incur more than $500 in election advertising expenses must register with Elections New Brunswick.
